Blade CP Video Clip

I have yet to fully trim this little helicopter. It does take some effort to keep it in one spot. Altitude changes quickly and often without any input, but I guess that is due to ground effect. Stay tuned for more possible posts about my new BladeCP.

Blade CP – mini Electric Helicopter

[inspic=93,left,fullscreen,thumb] I’ve always been fascinated with aviation. Right after high school I began my private pilot training. I managed to pass and did fly afterwards as recreation. Before I started training I was a little involved in RC airplanes. Just recently, I’ve decided to invest in a little electric mini helicopter – Blade CP.

Today was the first time that I have ever flown an RC helicopter. I did manage to practice some with a simulator while waiting for my package. The evening was going well and was hovering. After doing simple forward flight, the helicopter lifted above my head and I guess I pulled the throttle too fast. [inspic=95,left,fullscreen,thumb]The heli fell like a rock and hit the pavement. I thought that there would be great damage. Luckily it was just the blades and some worn off teeth on the fly wheel.

I did not expect to start flying so fast, but here I am hovering all over the place and already have a crash in my record book – all in one evening.
